November is Home Care & Hospice Month, a time to recognize the nurses and caregivers who bring skilled, compassionate care directly into people’s homes.

Care Looks Different at Home

Home-care and hospice nurses work in environments that are very different from hospitals and clinics. They walk into family homes, adapt to each situation, coordinate care, manage symptoms, teach caregivers, and help patients stay as comfortable and supported as possible.

Supporting the Whole Family

In hospice especially, nursing care extends beyond the patient. Families may need reassurance, education, and guidance through a deeply emotional time. Nurses often become a steady presence when everything else feels uncertain.

This month is a reminder to recognize the nurses who bring expertise, patience, and dignity into people’s homes every day.

Nurses’ Week: More Than Donuts, You Deserve Recognition

Nurses’ Week is supposed to be about appreciation, but nurses deserve more than a stale sheet cake, a branded pen, or a once-a-year thank-you. It is about the nurse who holds everything together shift after shift, even when she is exhausted, overwhelmed, or carrying more than anyone else can see. More Than Tokens of Appreciation…
