Hello Nurses,

As the year comes to a close, I keep thinking about the people who quietly hold so much together—and my mind always comes back to nurses.

You worked the holidays. You stayed late. You answered the call light again. You helped families understand what was happening. You carried hard days home with you and still came back for the next shift.

You were there for beginnings, endings, recoveries, setbacks, celebrations, and grief. You handled moments most people will never see.

Thank You for the Work No One Sees

Not every important thing you did made it into a chart. Sometimes it was holding a hand, finding an extra blanket, explaining something one more time, or noticing that a patient was scared before they even said it.

That matters.

So as the year ends, this is simply a thank-you. For the long shifts, the patience, the skill, and the care you gave even when you were tired.

With gratitude,

She’s getting ready for scraped knees, mystery stomachaches, playground bumps, medication forms, nervous little faces,…

Nurses’ Week: More Than Donuts, You Deserve Recognition

Nurses’ Week is supposed to be about appreciation, but nurses deserve more than a stale sheet cake, a branded pen, or a once-a-year thank-you. It is about the nurse who holds everything together shift after shift, even when she is exhausted, overwhelmed, or carrying more than anyone else can see. More Than Tokens of Appreciation…
